A colony needs somewhere to put its hands when the day's work pauses. Farcamp's first recreation object is a small table with a marked board and a handful of pebbles.

Colonists taking a personal or scheduled break can walk over and play. There are two separate places at the table, so a second person can join without standing inside the first. A colonist can also practise alone. The useful difference from a decorative prop is that they must actually reach the board before it restores their recreation.

Building it costs four sticks and four loose stones. Playing does not consume another set of supplies each time. The design joins the existing research system, and gathering stones can prompt an earned thought about using them as game pieces. It is a small example of an idea coming from life in camp.

The table uses the recreation needs and habits the colonists already have. Repeating one activity makes it less attractive, and a refreshed colonist on the ordinary Anything schedule returns to work. A full table leaves other ways to relax available.

Recreation is now visible beside Mood in each colonist's profile, as a percentage and a bar. It is a need filled by breaks, rather than a skill that grows forever. You can watch it rise while they play.

The table's Build entry and inspector now show its value: 50% more recovery than base relaxing. Hovering Recreation while someone plays shows their actual points recovered per game hour alongside their personal base rate. Preferences and repeated play can change the actual rate.

The owner approved this first object, and it has merged. Tests followed real gathering into the saved thought, real research into discovery, materials into construction, and two colonists into separate places. The screenshot is a prepared playtest in the actual game.

## Open questions

- Does the table feel useful during a longer survival playthrough?
- This version has a playing pose, but no simulated matches or winners.
- A second recreation object is now in development: a stone-toss lane for solo practice or shared rounds.
