“Damaged” describes a knife. **“About to break”** tells you why it needs attention.

Equipment warnings now use that clearer wording, alongside the item's icon and name. If another worn item needs attention, a small count keeps it from getting lost behind the first.



The row also behaves like a useful message. Click its body to locate the colonist or research station it is talking about. Click the X to dismiss that item's warning. The next refresh does not immediately put the same warning back, and dismissing it does not conceal a later actual break.

These controls follow the compact style established by the [attack alert](/projects/01M3B70Q318G1G8N0NSV63ME5X/journal/01M5FH5NPM2Z2R2CG0AZXS13Q3): one readable row, a clear destination, and a close control that does what it says.

The approved change is merged. Checks exercised real clicks, several pending items, later breakage and a camera already following somebody else, so locating a warning's subject actually moves the view to the right place.

## Open questions

- Dismissals are local to the current session; loading a game re-arms warnings about equipment that is still worn.
