A market is only half useful if it tells you what a town sells but not what it wants to buy. You can find cheap leather and still have no idea where to take it.

The development economy lab now puts both sides on the same board. Each item has its icon and name, how much the colony offers, what it charges, how much it wants, and the price it is willing to pay. Selling, Buying and Both filters narrow the list; search finds an item, and clicking a column sorts it.

Think of it as a stall’s price list beside its wanted notice. The wanted notice comes from the town’s simulated needs and money, with incoming deliveries taken into account. It is not a promise to buy every listed quantity: goods compete for the same funds, and transport still affects a deal. Private resale bids to a particular supplier stay off the public board.

The two sides also need different prices. When a colony both sells a good and wants to replenish it, its buying quote now stays below its selling quote. In the market shown here, grain sells for 4.02 while the town offers 3.82 to buy it. The gap leaves room for handling and risk; the counter no longer treats buying and selling as interchangeable.

That distinction matters when planning a journey. A town can want something without being able to afford much of it. An empty selling column can sit beside an active buying column. Sorting and searching make those differences easier to find.

The same buying and selling quotes now reach dated expedition reports in the playable game. Those reports remember a visit; they do not promise that the price will still be there when the next explorer arrives.
