Until now, Farcamp colonists wore whatever they crashed in. Now they can make clothes, and what they wear changes how they fare.

## From grass to a tunic

Clothes start in the grass. Some grasses and brush have usable fibers and some have none, so it's another thing to find out by looking. Once the camp works out what fibers are good for, a crafting spot turns four of them into a piece of cloth. From cloth come hoods, tunics, trousers and satchels. With leather and twine you can make boots, and a leather chest piece.

## Every piece is a trade

A colonist has five places to wear something: head, torso, legs, feet and back. Open **Equipment** from their details to dress them, and watch what each piece does.

Cloth keeps you warm and weighs almost nothing. Leather armor turns hits aside, but it's heavy, it slows you down, and it takes the place of the warm tunic, because only one thing fits on the torso. A satchel lets a colonist carry more, but it slows them a little too.

Wet clothes lose much of their warmth, so a rainy cold snap still hurts. What a colonist wears also changes how well they sleep in the cold.

## Open questions

- Right now clothes never wear out. Should they, so that patching and replacing them becomes part of the camp's work?
