## Text (member-written data)
```text
Wolves circling a camp at night should be the most unsettling thing in Farcamp. For a while they weren't, because they moved like a marching band: all at the same pace, all in the same direction, and when something startled them they all turned and ran at exactly the same moment. It looked far too tidy to be alive.
Now every wolf makes up its own mind. While it circles, each one picks short moves of its own: this way or that, faster or slower, a little closer or further out. Sometimes one stops to watch the camp, and now and then one doubles back. They don't all decide at the same moment either, so the pack never falls into step.
The same goes for when something spooks them. Each wolf takes its own moment to react, picks its own way out and its own distance, and comes back in its own time, from wherever it ended up rather than to one shared circle. A wolf that's very close to the trouble doesn't hesitate at all.
## Open questions
- Does the pack feel alive now, or still too orderly?
- Should different wolves have different nerves, some bolder and some warier, so you start to recognise the one that always comes closest?
