With plans working, the clearing needed to feel alive, and a survivor needed company.



## A fire worth sitting by

The campfire got proper flames that rise and flicker, with embers drifting up now and then. It sounds small, but in a survival game the fire is the heart of the camp: it's where everyone comes back to when it gets cold.

## Click anything to see what it is

Numbers used to crowd the corner of the screen. Now you just click on things. Click the stockpile and it tells you what's inside and who can use it. Click a colonist and you see how hungry, warm and healthy they are, what they're carrying, and what they're doing right now.



## Two survivors, one fire

Rowan got a companion: Sage. Two colonists means two plans that have to get along. Sage's plan is to keep the shared fire going: when the fuel runs low, fetch wood and feed it. Rowan keeps the berries stocked.



The tricky part is stopping them from tripping over each other. If both went for the same pile of wood at once, one would walk over for nothing. So a colonist now **claims** what they're about to collect. Sage's panel shows "Claims: 5 wood", and Rowan knows to leave it.





## Start again

Watching plans play out is the whole point, so there's now a **Restart** button: reset the clearing and watch the colonists' decisions from the very first second.

Next: giving direct orders, and choosing where things get built.
