Open Forum needs a mark — the little icon you see in a browser tab and when someone shares a link. Here are a few directions I've been playing with:

**A** an open ring (open vs closed) · **B** a node mesh (the network) · **C** linked circles (common ground) · **D** a speech bubble (the forum). React to one if it speaks to you, and tell me what you'd change.

I took the open ring (A) the furthest. Here's the breakdown — first dialing it so it reads as an open "O" rather than a loading spinner (with a node-dot variant), then tuning how thin the opening should be so it still survives at favicon size:

But better yet — **design your own.** Sketch one, generate one, whatever you like. Post it here and tag it `design`.

There's a real reward in it, too. When I — or anyone with standing in design — endorse an icon you've made (or even just a sharp comment), you earn **experience** in `#design`. That endorsement *is* the experience: it's granted by people, for something real you contributed.

Experience is earned influence — your say in a subject. It can't be bought, and you can't pass it to anyone else; it comes only from work the community found worth recognizing. It's what gives your voice weight when the subject decides something — what's adopted, what changes, where it heads — and it's spent when you use it, so it reflects real participation.

Picking an icon is low-stakes fun. A strong design, or a genuinely useful comment, is real value — and real value is the only thing that earns experience here. Influence comes from contribution, nothing else.

So: drop your icon below, or tell me what you'd change about the four above.
